REUNIONS AND CELEBRATIONS FOR  SOME OF THE CLASSES -  WHO JOINED THE QARNNS IN 1974​

"L" CLASS - Also known fondly as 'Hell Class' - joined on July 8th 1974 and were able to celebrate their reunion at the AGM. Uniquely each of those who attended serve in one capacity or another either on the QARNNS Association Committee or as a Branch Secretary. At the end of an evening of much hilarity as we recounted our memories, we toasted absent friends.

Class 36 joined at RNH HASLAR in September 1974 and held their reunion in Norwich. In total 16 of them spent a long weekend there and had a wonderful time there and managed to locate Nurse Edith Cavell's grave and a statue of Admiral Lord Nelson, who was born there.

"M" Class joined the QARNNS on 14 October 1974. Five of them managed to meet up for a reunion weekend in Portsmouth. For a couple, it was the first time they had met up since parting ways after gaining our SEN qualification, with some being drafted, leaving the service, starting families, moving abroad and since retiring. However the years just melted away as we shared memories of our youth.

Class 32 celebrated their 50th Anniversary of arriving at RNH HASLAR on 13th May 1973, to start training on the 14th, in Gosport/Portsmouth over a weekend in May 2023​

​

From the original 24 nurses and MTs, only 7 made it due to holidays and illnesses, a further 3 where there has been loss of contact and we remembered the 5 who we lost far too early.

​

Some of us enjoyed a walk around Haslar and what a treat to be invited into one of the now apartments in G Block.

​

A lovely weekend was enjoyed by all who attended, we now look forward to our 55th Anniversary!
